“Regrettably, in the world we live in today, taking extra safety precautions in schools is no longer optional—it is essential. Our children, the community’s future doctors, nurses, farmers, construction workers, teachers, fire fighters, etc, need the modern day safety features a new facility will offer.

Furthermore, investing in an updated facility is a practical, responsible choice for our tax dollars. Continuing to patch up and repair an aging building requires ongoing, costly maintenance that will only continue to drain resources year after year. Investing in an updated facility now protects our community's financial future while providing our kids with the secure, high-quality educational environment they need.

Our school is the anchor of the community and our children are our future, both should be invested in.

Please join us in supporting our schools.”

“We are voting FOR a new school because we believe our kids and teachers deserve better - and our community deserves a responsible plan for the future.

Our administration has been good stewards of our money, and it’s our belief that this decision is being made thoughtfully and responsibly. The reality is that our current building is aging and is simply not sustainable long-term.

Continuing to spend money repairing an outdated building doesn't make sense when we have the opportunity to invest in something built to serve our community for generations.

Our kids and teachers deserve a safe, modern, climate-controlled school where they can learn and work comfortably every day.

This isn't just about building a new school. It's about investing in our kids, our teachers, and the future of our community. It’s always an investment worth making.

Regardless of your current stance, please — do your research, ask questions, schedule a tour, and be an informed voter. Consider the impact we can have on generations to come. Join us in voting FOR our kids, our educators, and our community.”

"Our school has amazing staff and even better students!

Giving them a facility that is good enough should not be an option, but in my opinion our current facility isn’t even good enough. We should want something for our community that is the best. I would love our children to have a facility that is safe, comfortable, and has space to learn, play and grow. The current school has aging plumbing, leaks, lack of climate control and multiple other issues. Another big concern is of mine is the lay out and how the entrance set up for visitors. In order to come into the school during school hours you have to walk past stairs and multiple classrooms before reaching the office and this simply is unacceptable. We are getting an opportunity to build something great for our children and their future, I hope we don’t let it pass us by."

“As parents of three children in McComb Schools, we are voting FOR McComb because we believe a new school represents an opportunity to think beyond today and create a safe, modern place where future students and educators can learn, grow, and thrive. It will provide McComb students with the resources, learning environment, and experiences already available to many students in neighboring communities. A new school will help strengthen our educational foundation and community for generations to come.”

"As both a parent and a business owner in McComb, I want to see the town continue to be a place where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

Supporting this levy is a way to invest in the next generation and the future of our community. A strong school system helps attract and retain families, supports local businesses, and keeps our community thriving."

“Our current school has been a huge part of this community, and we don’t think anyone can take that away. But the reality is that the building is aging, and we have to look at what makes the most sense long term. Continuing to put money into major repairs and trying to make an old building work forever doesn’t necessarily mean we’re saving money or doing what’s best for our kids. We want our kids to have a school that is safe, comfortable, modern, and built for the way schools operate today. We also want our teachers to have an environment where they can do their jobs without constantly dealing with an aging building and its limitations. We want to see McComb grow - more families, more opportunities, and a community people are proud to call home. We believe a new school can be an important part of that future. We aren’t voting FOR a new school because it’s the easiest choice. We’re voting FOR it because we believe it’s the responsible long-term choice for our kids, our teachers, and the future of McComb. At the end of the day, we want our kids to grow up here, have a great school to attend, and see our community continue to grow and thrive.”

“Our family is voting FOR for the new McComb school because we believe our

kids—and future generations—deserve better.

We both attended McComb when the middle school was still in Hoytville. We loved our time there, and although we were sad to see that building close because it held special memories for our family, we also saw the impact it had on the district. Moving those students into the elementary and high school buildings made an already crowded situation even more difficult. Over the years, students have lost valuable elective classes due to a lack of space. One that stands out to us is Home Economics, where students learn important life skills they'll use long after graduation.

As taxpayers, we don't want to keep investing in a sinking ship. We'd rather see our tax dollars go toward a new school than continue paying for repairs on aging buildings. Our kids deserve a school without leaking roofs, mold concerns, and inconsistent heating and cooling.

We love our small-town community, and it means so much that four generations of our family have attended McComb schools. We want that tradition to continue in a school that our children—and someday our grandchildren—can be proud of.

That's why our family is voting FOR the levy”

“Our children deserve a school that is safe, modern, and equipped to support their education and future. While the current school has served our community for many years, it has become outdated and requires significant repairs and improvements.

Continuing to put money into an aging building may only provide temporary solutions when what our students truly need is a new, purpose-built school. A new school would provide updated classrooms, improved technology, better safety and security, and an environment designed to meet the needs of today’s students and educators.

Building a new school is more than an investment in a building- it is an investment in our children, our teachers, and the future of our entire community. Our students deserve a place where they can learn, grow, and thrive without being limited by an outdated facility.

I strongly believe that now is the time to look toward the future and build a new school that our community can be proud of for generations to come.”

“As an alumni and current residents of McComb, I want to tell you why my husband and I are in favor of a new school.

Both our children, grandkids, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews are graduates or currently enrolled. To go back even further, my dad and aunts graduated from McComb many years ago. My great aunt (who is 83 now), graduated from here. This school has been part of our family for generations! Some of my family have moved away after college or the military, sure. But the vast majority are still in this area. Our town is in need of a major boost and we feel that bringing a new school to the district could bring in potential residents, and possibly, potential businesses.

I recently celebrated my 40th year class reunion and the topic of a new school came up and many of us are hopeful that the levy passes. Some can’t believe that we are still in the same building! I will tell you that 3/4 of my former classmates are still in the McComb area! Their grandkids attend school here.

We realize that our taxes will go up, but that is a small sacrifice to pay to ensure that our children, grandchildren, teachers, and staff have the same opportunities as other schools in the area. To get an education in an atmosphere that is new and exciting, that is stress free for the maintenance and custodial staff (my husband and sister are part of this group), to give us residents even more pride to show off a new building and campus! I have read the oppositions remarks and feel that if they are just looking at it from the point of view that “I don’t want my taxes to go up” or “I don’t have kids that go to school here anymore” or “make do with what you got”, that mentality will keep you…stuck.

There’s a good chance that someone in your family will reap the rewards of learning in a new building!

Lastly, do my husband and I want our taxes to go up now, especially getting close to our retirement years? No, we really don’t. But here’s the thing. If we can pass this levy, we all would be part of a legacy at McComb Local Schools, because we would become a financial partner/builder, in assuring that our kids have the best technology; the most modern atmosphere; a climate controlled facility; and most importantly, a safe place to spend their school days!

Please consider voting FOR. Not because someone made some post about the reasons why it’s a good idea. Not because you see signs in people’s yards or see community members wearing t-shirts. Vote FOR simply because it’s time to replace a building that’s over 100 years old and we won’t get an opportunity like this again to ensure HOPE for our entire community!”

Kenny & Tina Smith

“Our school serves not only as a safe space for our children to learn, grow, and discover who they want to be, but also as a hub for our village. Schools are the heartbeat of small communities:  it’s a source of entertainment and connection from our sporting events to the theatre; it offers a space for community events to be held. The school is a great source of pride for our community, pride for our panthers, pride for our students, pride for traditions, and our community deserves a building we are proud of as well.

Our current building has served this community so well and well beyond its lifespan.  That is also something to take pride in.  The administration has been great stewards of our resources, maintaining a building for more than a century.   Our students, staff, and community deserve facilities that meet the current standards and can provide a safe and comfortable place for them to learn and work in. The time is now, McComb.   Together, let’s build something that we can all be proud of.”

Laura & Chase Drewes

“Our family has taken the time to learn about the school levy, tour the school, ask questions, and really think about what it could mean for our kids and our community. After doing so, our family will be voting FOR the school levy.

We believe our students, teachers, and staff deserve a safe, comfortable, updated facility that meets the needs of today’s students. This isn’t just about having a newer building or keeping up with other schools. To us, it’s about creating a better learning environment and investing in our kids and our community for years to come

We know everyone has different financial situations, and we don’t take that lightly. We encourage everyone to do their own research, tour the school, ask questions, and learn about the plans before making their decision.

So many generations have walked these halls, played in these gyms, and made memories in these classrooms. We appreciate that history, but we also think it’s important to look ahead and consider what our current and future students need.

For our family, this is about our kids, our community, and giving them a school they can be proud of for generations to come. We’re voting FOR the levy. “
